Well, a little while ago I emailed Nokia as well as called our local cell phone operator MTN and discovered that there won’t be an upgrade to the Nokia e90 Communicator smart phone. The closest, they suggest, is a Nokia N900! (I also checked Vodacom, Cell C, and Virgin Mobile’s web sites and had no success)

I was not impressed to say the least. I have come to enjoy the e90 as a very functional smart phone. It is a computer with a built-in phone; so what more could you want? I do so much with my e90.

I have the following apps loaded on it: facebook, mxit, gmail, google maps, bible reader, google latitude, youtube for phones, etc.

Nokia e90 Upgrade?

Needless to say, I really USE my phone.

I also enjoy the extensive phone book and calendar functionality of the e90. So you can understand my dismay when Nokia could not provide me with a suitable upgrade this year! Too bad - I’ll hang onto my e90 for as long as I can.
